Yesterday is History, Today is a Gift, Tomorrow is Mystery
The Orthodox Church of Texas, grounded in the apostolic faith and committed to preserving the authentic Holy Orthodox tradition, seeks to bring all people into the fullness of life in Christ through humility, love, and fellowship.
Our church is committed to reviving the ancient Western Rite and offering Texans a deeply rooted, sacramental expression of Christianity in a landscape shaped largely by Southern Baptist and evangelical traditions. We seek to preserve historic liturgy, uphold apostolic faith, and cultivate a distinctly local yet authentically traditional community that reflects both the spiritual heritage of the early Church and the cultural character of Texas.
We strive to nurture reverence in worship, encourage monastic vocations, and revive the ancient practices of the early Church so that the faith handed down by the Apostles may continue unchanged in our time and for generations to come.
In the spirit of Christ’s own ministry and the apostolic example, we dedicate ourselves to chaplaincy, preaching, and pastoral service—bringing the light of the Gospel to those in need, comforting the suffering, and proclaiming the truth wherever God opens a door. Through these labors, we seek to embody the compassion, courage, and steadfast witness shown by our Lord and His Apostles.
Guided by the Holy Spirit and the Bishops of the Lone Star Synod, we commit ourselves to walking the narrow way of salvation, remembering the words of our Lord: “Narrow is the path which leads to life.”
